The new application submission cycle for the “Digital Transactions B” program started on June 23. The program is aimed at small and medium-sized businesses operating in Greece. The purpose of the program, which has a total budget of €61,257,000, is to support small and medium-sized businesses through the provision of vouchers, with the goal of adopting modern digital tools that support document issuance, POS integration, and electronic invoicing. The initiative is implemented within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0”, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU. Who can participate in the Program?

Existing small and medium-sized businesses can participate in the program, provided that they:
  • Are self-employed professionals or businesses with a Greek VAT number, of any legal form (Sole proprietorships, Private Companies (IKE), General Partnerships (OE), Limited Liability Companies (EPE), Corporations (AE), Social Cooperative Enterprises (KOINSEP), etc.).
  • Have not received funding in the same category during the previous cycle.
  • Are active on the date of submission of the application for participation in the Program.
  • Operate in an activity eligible under the Program.

When can I submit an application?

For the 1st Cycle of all Categories, you can submit applications until Friday, September 5, 2025. For approved applications, beneficiaries will be able to use the issued vouchers to purchase products and services included in the above Categories until Friday, November 7, 2025.

Which expenses does the Program subsidize?

The program provides grant vouchers for the purchase or replacement of the following digital solutions:

It concerns the purchase or leasing of new-specification EFT/POS systems up to 3 years old. The maximum number of POS terminals that can be purchased/replaced is the greater of the following:

(a) The number of POS terminals already installed in the business on the date of submission of the application,

(b) The following number calculated based on the business’s turnover from the last closed financial year:

  • Turnover ≤ €500,000: 2 POS terminals
  • €500,000 < Turnover ≤ €5,000,000: 10 POS terminals
  • Turnover > €5,000,000: 50 POS terminals

(c) Or, in any other case: 2 POS terminals.

Services of licensed electronic invoicing providers (according to AADE) and software solutions that support the legal issuance of retail documents and integration with EFT/POS systems are subsidized for up to 3 years.

For turnover ≤ €100,000 (or no declared turnover): the business belongs to Category 1 (coefficient = 1) with a subsidy amount of €300.

For €100,000 < turnover ≤ €500,000: the business belongs to Category 2 (coefficient = 2) with a subsidy amount of €600.

For turnover > €500,000: the business belongs to Category 3 (coefficient = 3) with a subsidy amount of €900.

It subsidizes the cost of an on-site technician visit and POS integration, according to the new AADE specifications. The expense also includes the wired/wireless connection with the POS terminal.

Interested businesses may receive funding for up to the number of FHM (tax mechanisms) they had already declared as of 01/06/2024.

The purchase cost of a new cash register system (Cash Registers, ADHME, and FHMAS) that meets the new technical specifications defined by A.1173/30.12.2022 is subsidized.

The cash register system expense may also include invoicing software (purchase or subscription for up to 3 years) that supports the legal issuance of retail documents and integration with EFT/POS systems, based on A.1155/9.10.2023 (AADE page) or A.1098.

Interested businesses may receive funding from one (1) up to the number of existing declared EAFDSS and non-upgradable Cash Registers and ADHME systems they had as of 01/06/2024.

The purchase cost of restaurant FHM systems (restaurant Cash Registers, restaurant ADHME, and restaurant FHMAS) that meet the new technical specifications of A.1173/30.12.2022 is subsidized.

The cash register system expense may also include invoicing software (purchase or subscription for up to 3 years) that supports the legal issuance of retail documents and integration with EFT/POS systems, based on A.1155/09.10.2023 or A.1098.

Interested businesses may receive funding from one (1) up to the number of Cash Registers, ADHME, and EAFDSS systems already declared as of 01/06/2024.

Businesses with already integrated EFT/POS systems can receive funding for expenses related to upgrades, software improvements, and technical support for integrated POS systems. The program includes one voucher for each integrated EFT/POS terminal of the business, with a duration of 2 years.
