Does the plugin replace a cash register?
Yes. The MyData E-Shop Plugin completely eliminates the need for a cash register, allowing you to issue retail receipts directly from your eShop without any additional software or hardware. Your online store is all you need to issue receipts.
Greek legislation exempts businesses from using a cash register when MyData via a certified provider is used. Primer Software is a licensed MyData provider, as listed by the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE).
What is the difference between MyData and MyData via a Provider?
MyData is the minimum legal requirement for all Greek businesses since January 1, 2021. It involves the asynchronous submission of tax documents to AADE and does not replace a fiscal device or cash register.
MyData via a Provider enables the real-time (online) transmission of sales documents to AADE. Using a certified provider replaces the need for a fiscal device or cash register, requiring only a computer or smartphone. It also offers tax benefits, including:
- A reduced tax audit limitation period of 3 years.
- 200% super-deduction of eligible expenses related to MyData services, software, and technical equipment.
What is Primer MyData?
Primer MyData is Primer Software’s solution for connecting ERP and CRM systems with AADE.
Primer Software is a licensed MyData provider authorized by AADE (License No. ΥΠΑΗΕΣ: 2021_01_107 – Primer Software IKE_001_Primer MyData_V1_21012021).
Can the eShop MyData Plugin be integrated with platforms other than WooCommerce?
At the moment, the plugin supports WooCommerce only.
Support for additional eCommerce platforms is planned for future releases. If you use another platform and would like to integrate it with the Primer E-Shop Plugin, feel free to contact us to discuss a suitable solution.
Can it integrate with other software?
Yes. The plugin can integrate with other software solutions through:
- Data dump files
- Email-based file exchange
- Other integration methods, depending on the software you wish to connect
Why shouldn't I use another plugin from abroad?
No foreign invoicing plugin for eCommerce stores provides integration with MyData via a certified provider. As a result, under Greek legislation, they cannot legally issue retail receipts without a fiscal device or cash register.
They also do not provide access to the tax benefits available through certified MyData providers. See “What is the difference between MyData and MyData via a Provider?” for more information.
Does my eShop require any configuration to be compatible with MyData?
No. Primer MyData E-Shop requires no MyData-related configuration on your part.
All necessary settings are preconfigured, so no additional setup or technical adjustments are required.
Why is a MyData subscription required for the plugin to work?
A MyData via a Provider subscription is required to qualify for the legal exemption from using a fiscal device and/or cash register when issuing retail receipts.
What does patented technology mean?
