From February 2, 2026, electronic invoicing for B2B transactions becomes mandatory.

From February 2, 2026, the issuance of electronic invoices becomes mandatory for every business-to-business (B2B) transaction in Greece.

The transition to the new system includes planned implementation stages, as well as financial incentives for those who adopt it earlier.

See below what the new framework provides, the implementation timeline, and how you can benefit from the early adoption incentives and Primer Software’s offer.

What does the new framework provide?

The electronic invoicing obligation is established through decisions by the Deputy Minister of Economy and the Governor of the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) and covers:

  • Sales of goods and services between Greek businesses
  • Transactions with businesses in third countries (outside the EU)
  • Optional use for B2B transactions within the EU

For transactions between Greek businesses, acceptance of the electronic invoice is mandatory for the recipient.

In contrast, for transactions with foreign businesses, acceptance is not mandatory.

Implementation Options

Each business can choose between:

  • Using an Electronic Invoicing Provider
  • The free timologio application by AADE or the myDATAapp mobile application

The Primer ERP integrates electronic invoicing functionality with automatic transmission to myDATA and supports connection with a certified provider, ensuring full compliance and time savings for your business.
